WHAT WE REMEMBER VERSUS WHAT HAPPENED

This series investigates the biases that effect our memories. If a memory brought you joy, even for a short amount of time, the entire memory can be linked to that emotion. We tend to remember things better than they were because positive emotions are more powerful. While negative emotions are strong, we subconsciously use safety mechanisms to forget them. Losing someone, injuries and broken hearts are still there, although the feeling fades away.

Tucked at the end of the book are plastic red and blue sheets to interact with duotone images, revealing the true event or the fabricated memory.
